U.K.-based medical device contract packaging company Riverside Medical Packaging Ltd. announced that it will split off its Shawpak business unit.

Riverside said that due to the growth achieved by Shawpak since its inception in 2014, its directors have decided to split the operations into two separate legal trading entities, which will result in the trading activities of Shawpak transferring to Shawpak Ltd.

The new Shawpak company will continue to share the same ownership and directors as Riverside, and since Shawpak has always operated as a separate division, there will be no change to its day-to-day activities, and the companies will maintain their strong collaboration.

Shawpak Ltd. manufactures a range of medical device packaging machinery ranging from its unique rotary thermoform machine to three-side seal pouch making and rigid tray making machinery.
