RhinoFeet stand up to heavy tooling items

March 4, 2024
A new 5-inch version of Progressive Components' product accommodates larger molds, supporting up to 15,000 pounds each.

RhinoFeet Progressive Components’ RhinoFeet product offers a simple but effective way to support molds, plates, blocks and other heavy tooling items on a shop floor or workbench. Embedded rare earth magnets allow the feet to be attached to or removed from tooling as it is supported by a crane or other lifting device. They provide a secure way to safely elevate and store heavy tooling so it is not in direct contact with a floor or work surface.

What’s new? The 5-inch-tall version of RhinoFeet. RhinoFeet have been available in heights of 2 inches, 3 inches and 4 inches, and the new size accommodates larger molds. The 5-inch version has been tested to hold 15,000 pounds, so four of them would be adequate to support a 60,000-pound mold.

Benefits Improved worker safety and work area efficiency. RhinoFeet are compact and do not project beyond the mold or tool they are attached to, eliminating the potential trip hazard presented by wooden pallets and skids when they’re used to support tools.
