March 7, 2024
The SR-3iA/U comes with a ceiling mount and no dead zones.

SR-3iA/U With its 6.6-pound payload and 13.8-inch horizontal reach, this four-axis Fanuc robot is suited for smaller-scale robotic assembly, pick-and-place, inspection and packaging applications. Intelligent functions include iRVision, an integrated visual detection system, and iRPickTool,a technology that allows the robot to identify and place items on a moving conveyor belt.

What’s new? The SR-3iA/U, an upside-down SCARA version with a ceiling mount and a 360-degree work envelope. The new robot was demonstrated at the recent ATX West/Plastec West 2024 trade show in Anaheim, Calif.

Benefits Freedom of reach and ease of use. Because of its ceiling mount and 360-degree work envelope, the SR-3iA/U has no dead zones. It can access any point within its reach. In addition, a number of the robot’s features offer advantages to users. For example, the new R-30iB Compact plus controller requires minimal space. IRProgrammer, a web-based interface, allows users to program the robot easily and intuitively with a tablet or desktop computer, and air lines built into the arm simplify integration and reduce costs.
