B&P upgrades its compounding extruder

Issue: May 2017

TriVolution B&P has updated its compounding technology, which provides three strokes per revolution of the screw shaft. The compounding extruder comes in several sizes with a choice of barrels. Depending on the configuration and material being processed, throughputs can range from about 7 pounds per hour to more than 2,200 pounds per hour.

What’s new? Upgraded gearboxes, new mixing element designs and enlarged feed sections.

Benefits High throughput and quality mixing at lower rates of speed, compared to other technologies. With their three-stroke movement, the compounding machines offer greater flexibility than the kneaders released earlier by the company. Thanks to the recent upgrades, the machines have longer lifespans and can achieve even higher throughputs.
