KHS Corpoplast's new blow molder targets single-serve packaging market

Issue: June 2018

InnoPet Blomax Series IV Responding to growing demand for single-serving packaging between 8.5 ounces and 27 ounces, KHS Corpoplast GmbH is offering a new version of its InnoPET Blomax Series IV stretch blow molding machines that incorporates smaller blowing stations. Each blowing station (pictured is a detail of three blow stations in the blowing wheel) can accommodate bottles with a maximum diameter of 75mm.

What’s new? Blowing stations with fewer moving parts. With only one moveable mold half, each station sees lower wear. The machine’s new Clever-Loc system uses a toggle lever to offer simultaneous mold closing and locking.

Benefits A smaller footprint and increased output of up to 2,500 containers per hour for each blowing station. The streamlined design combines stretching and blowing nozzle movement, and the decreased number of parts reduces maintenance needs.
