Okuma's new vertical machining unit makes precision parts

Genos M460V-5AX The newest five-axis vertical machining center from Okuma is designed specifically to manufacture high-precision parts and offer high metal-removal rates. It features the company’s Thermo-Friendly Concept technology, which minimizes heat generation and diminishes the impact of the heat that can’t be removed. Options include a collision-avoidance system, Machining Navi functionality that avoids or minimizes chatter, and an auto-tuning system that compensates for geometric errors.

What’s new? The machining center, which will hit the market in January.
