Sealing discs eliminate need for threads

Issue: April 2018

Z9430 sealing discs Hasco’s new line of sealing discs are based on the DIN 470 standard and are used to close off cooling channels in molds. The slightly concave, copper sealing discs are driven into the channels using the corresponding size of fitting mandrel from the company’s Z9431 line. This forms a frictional connection for reliable sealing. Some applications may require an additional sealant, such as Loctite 577. All sizes of the discs are available from stock.

What’s new? The sealing discs and mandrels.

Benefits Simple, economical sealing of mold cooling channels. Also, they eliminate the need for threads and take up very little space.
