Seaga's multi-compartment locker can reduce inventory levels
IIC Guardian Seaga’s IIC Guardian is a multi-compartment locker for storage of large items and check-in/check-out of high-value items that tracks usage with cloud-based management software. It comes with 24 compartments that can be reconfigured in the field to accommodate larger items, and knockouts for accessory power strips are available to keep items charged. Workers can check out items by entering a PIN into the keypad, or optional readers can be added for use with a facility’s security badges or building access cards.
What’s new? Internet of Things (IoT) responsiveness and cloud-based software. Real-time updates provide accountability for supply usage and accurate forecasting that can reduce inventory levels by 50 percent or more.
Benefits Workers can access items 24 hours a day without the need for staffed inventory control. The locker can be used as a stand-alone unit, in combination with other lockers, or as a complement to Seaga’s IIC SightGuard product. Usage, inventory levels and job coding for billing are all tracked, eliminating human error and cutting waste by an estimated 15 percent to 30 percent.
