Pixie Ginolis’ new optical quality inspection unit combines metrology and automation within a desktop-sized footprint. It can measure 2-D or 3-D objects and identify visual defects such as spots, impurities, scratches or voids. Depending on customer requirements, it can generate millions of data points within seconds. Ginolis can integrate customized automation.
What’s new? The Pixie, which launched in June.
Benefits Ability to measure challenging products. The Pixie works with difficult-to-measure colors and materials, as well as products with transparent, glossy or mirror-like surfaces. The Pixie can use a motorized stage and pick-and-place robot, and can be integrated with statistical process control. The sensor takes measurements quickly and is suitable for in-line quality control.
