Exair's meter monitors compressed air

Issue: August 2017

Digital flow meter Exair has introduced a new flow meter for monitoring compressed air use. The meter, which shows airflow in either cubic feet per minute or cubic meters per hour, is available in a variety of sizes to accommodate different diameters of iron and copper pipe. Prices start at $1,308.

What’s new? The flow meter and its wireless capability. The meter has a range of 100 feet and transmits data to an Ethernet-connected gateway. Both the meter and gateway have 128-bit encryption for secure wireless transmission. The company’s Exairlogger software allows users to graph or aggregate the data to identify trends in compressed air use.

Benefits Having the data needed to identify leaks and optimize compressed air use.
