New Mokon chillers can reach lower temps
Iceman SC Mokon has expanded its SC series of portable chillers with the addition of the ASL and WSL models. The ASL uses air-cooled condensing, while the WSL operates via water-cooled condensing. Features include a scroll compressor, an efficient brazed-plate evaporator, a microprocessor-based controller, a stainless-steel centrifugal supply pump and a heavy-duty insulated plastic tank with sight glass. Both models come in capacities from 1.5 to 7.5 tons.
What’s new? Lower temperatures. The ASL and WSL models, which launched in May, offer fluid temperatures of 5 degrees to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, compared to a range of 20 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit for other models in the series. The lower temperatures make the chillers suited for use with processing equipment running specialty resins and in processors’ testing labs.
Benefits Reliable, efficient and quiet operation.
