Bag conditioner has laser safety curtain
Block-Buster Flexicon’s newest bulk-bag conditioner uses a scissor lift, turntable and hydraulic rams to raise, rotate and squeeze the bag from both sides to loosen compacted bulk solid materials so they will flow freely. The user can set the number of ram actuations, rotations and the level of pressure the rams employ. It is 7.25 feet high with a footprint of 11.1 feet by 6.5 feet.
What’s new? A laser safety curtain. The curtain stops all machine motions when the beam is obstructed and is used instead of traditional hinged safety doors and interlock switches.
Benefits Increased productivity and a smaller footprint. The operator can load and unload bags more quickly without having to leave the forklift to open and close interlocked safety doors. Floor space is not tied up with fencing and the need to accommodate swinging doors, and the system controller and hydraulic pump can be mounted outside the frame or remotely.
